About the GEA

GEA is a new approach.  We are not an association, we are a global alliance.  As a not-for-profit, we are only interested in ensuring that our members have global reach and opportunity, together with the benefit of access to some of the best entrepreneurial brains in the industry.

The Global Events Alliance was created by Bob Macgregor, President & CEO, Macgregor Communications and Matt Pearce, CEO, Talk2 Media. Both have been long-standing organizers of both trade and consumer trade shows and conferences globally.

They realized that there was an opportunity to leverage the combined strengths of smaller like-minded independents into a significant organization network whereby the members could share information, expand brands globally, and be more active in consolidated transactions.

We will prospect for members globally.  Be one of the founders of this alliance and help us influence the membership focus, and drive the conversation.

Membership will be relegated to smaller independents with annual revenues below US$30 Million. Private equity-owned organizations, associations, and public companies are ineligible to be members.

The GEA is a not-for-profit organization registered federally in Canada.
